Embark on a nutritious and versatile culinary journey with Organic Mung Beans from Markal. Known as “”mung bean”” or green bean, this legume is cherished for its high protein and fiber content, making it an essential ingredient in a myriad of dishes. Originally hailing from Asia, its popularity has soared in France, thanks to the growing enthusiasm for Asian cuisine.

Germination: Begin by soaking the mung beans overnight in a bowl of water. Once they have expanded, rinse them thoroughly. Place the beans in your seed sprouter, maintaining them in a dark and temperate environment. Ensure to rinse them twice daily until they’re ready to eat. The germination process typically takes 4–6 days.

Cooking: Mung beans can also be cooked by boiling them for 35 minutes in a pot with three times their volume of water. Once sprouted, they add a delightful crunch to salads or can be stir-fried in a wok with vegetables, meat, or fish for a satisfying meal.

Storage: To maintain their freshness, store black beans in a cool, dry, and dark environment.
