Potato flakes are derived from potatoes that have been cooked, dried, and finely ground into a powder.
For a serving suitable for four people, use 125g of potato flakes. Start by bringing ½ liter of water to a boil, then remove it from the heat. Add 250ml of cold milk, and gradually incorporate the potato flakes until you achieve a smooth texture. Allow it to rest for one minute before gently stirring with a spatula. Season as desired. These potato flakes are ideal for creating creamy mashed potatoes, perfect when paired with ham, sausages, or steak. They also lend themselves well to more elaborate dishes like potato rösti or shepherd’s pie.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and dark place to maintain quality.
