How much is in one batch of milk/food created by MioMat?

40 oz / 1.2 L

How much ingredients will I need?

To make 40 oz / 1.2 L of milk, you will need half a US measuring cup of ingredients (one MioMat cup). It is recommended to start with this amount. Once you are more familiar with the MioMat, you may adjust the amount of ingredients to make your milk more dense or watery.

To make soups, porridges, and smoothies, place ingredients under the minimum water line indicated inside (1.1 L).

Do the nuts have to be soaked before grinding?

Soaking nuts (as well as seeds, cereals, or legumes) allow for the removal of the enzymatic inhibitors which prevent us from properly absorbing their nutrients. The nutrients of soaked nuts are at their optimal absorption point.

We recommend that you always soak the nuts when making your milk. However, if you are in a big hurry, MioMat can grind unsoaked nuts to produce the milk.

Do I have to strain the milk?

MioMat produces the richest plant-based milk possible. To allow maximal extraction, ingredients are allowed to flow freely in the jug so that the thickest and creamiest milk is produced.

Note: Milk from nuts always has to be strained – it’s easier when this is done after all the milk is produced.

How long will the milk produced by MioMat last?

When stored in the refrigerator, plant-based milk lasts 3-5 days.

What are the advantages of MioMat over a blender?

MioMat has the heating envelope in the jug – this cooks the milk in order to prepare it.

MioMat operates at high RPM – this grinds the food precisely, which results in a better end product using fewer ingredients.

MioMat has a unique RAW program – the cooking does not exceed 108ºF/42ºC, thus the nuts release their flavor without losing nutrients.

How long has MioMat been on the market?

More than 10 years! MioMat was first launched in Chile in 2012.

In 2021, with the 7th generation MioMat, distribution was started worldwide.

How will I know when the MioMat is done and the milk is ready?

The program light will blink to indicate that the process is finished. It will also beep for one minute.

Does the MioMat grind the soybeans cold or does it heat the beans before grinding?

It cooks the soybeans first, and then blends them.

How noisy is this milk maker?

It is similar to a powerful blender. There are periods of quiet and increased noise – these are the different cycles of the milk being made.

Can I make creamers using MioMat?

Yes! There’s a Raw Milk program for this. Simply add 4 MioMat cups of nuts (2 US measuring cups), cold water between the levels indicated inside, attach the grinding cylinder, then start the program.

I love almond milk in the mornings – how long will it take to produce this?

12 minutes! Plus, there’s no need to soak the nuts, although this is recommended for easier digestion.

How much milk does the milk machine make per batch?

MioMat makes 40 oz / 1.2 L of milk per batch – which will last from 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator.
